Update
on Fr. Damien.
Fr. Damien continues to remain in hospital and is seriously ill. He is not well enough to receive visitors and Bishop Peter asks that we respect that. Please continue to pray for him.
If you would like to send any messages through e-mail or cards, please send them via the Parish Office and Irena will make sure that they are passed on to him.
Easter Lilies. If you would like
to have a lily on the Sanctuary here at Our Lady’s for Easter for your deceased loved ones and friends, please place £3 in an envelope together with a list of their names and give it to Irena by Sunday
29th March. Please mark your envelope “Easter Lilies”.
“My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Please be sensitive to those who want to pray in silence before Mass. Before Mass, “Talk
to God”, during Mass, “Listen to God” and after Mass, “Talk to each other.”
Streetchurch. Our church through the SVP is covering the catering at Streetchurch next Sunday
15th March and this will be the last time for this year. You are an incredibly generous congregation and if you are able to provide loaves of sandwiches, soup (large pot of meat or vegetable), fruit, cakes,
chocolate bars and crisps yet again, it makes such a difference. There is a list at the back of the church so please just add your name and tick what you can provide and leave it in the porch before the
Mass you attend next Sunday. Thank you once again!
KSC Quiz. This will take place in St. Gregory’s Church Hall on Friday 27th March at 7.30pm. teams consist of 4 players. Entry fee: £5 per team.
Contact Mark Osborne on 07518023443.
Church Cleaning. We need volunteers to clean Our Lady’s Church. We work in teams of 2 and it only roughly takes an hour, with one vacuuming and one dusting,
etc. at the moment we are down to only 2 teams which puts a lot on a few people. The more teams there are, the less often you are required. If you are able to help, please contact Christine Sumner on 01604
408001 or at [email protected]
Dedication of the New Windows at Sacred Heart. Bishop Peter will be coming on Friday 13th March at 7.30pm to dedicate the windows at Sacred Heart in memory
of Fr. Calnan. Fr. John Kelly, the Sacred Heart Provincial will be there together with other priests from the area. The Mass will be followed by a shared supper. So that parishioners who would like to
attend may do so, there is no Mass or Stations of the Cross at Our Lady’s on that day.
