Fr. Damien RIP
Please pray for the repose of the soul of our beloved Fr. Damien who died in Northampton General Hospital
on Saturday 7th March, aged 74 years. His body will be brought into the church at 2pm on Thursday 19th March and the church will remain open until 6pm. At 6pm there will be Evening Prayer to which the
members of Billing Covenanted Churches Together have been invited. Mass will be celebrated at 7pm. There will be Morning Prayer at 9.30am on Friday morning (20th March). Fr. Damien’s body will be removed
from the church at 1.15pm and taken to the Cathedral, where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Peter at 2pm. This will be followed by burial at Great Billing Catholic Cemetery. There will be
a reception afterwards at the Barratts Club. Please also remember Fr. Damien’s family in your prayers. We offer them our condolences.
William Edward Rymer RIP Please pray also for the repose
of the soul of William Edward Rymer who died recently. His funeral rites will take place on Wednesday 18th March at 2.30pm at Our Lady’s and will be followed by burial at Great Billing Catholic Cemetery.
We offer our prayers for and condolences to his family.
Stations of the Cross take place on Friday evening (20th March) and will be led by pupils from St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School.
CAFOD
Some of you will have seen a CAFOD article in this month’s Vine, mentioning Sr. Eugenie Paul, a nun from Myanmar (Burma) who is a refugee in the UK. The CAFOD group at Sacred Heart is pleased to say
that Sr. Eugenie will be coming to speak at the church on Friday 20th March. Light refreshments will be available from 6pm in the hall and Sr. Eugenie will speak at 6.30pm. There will be time for questions
as well. All are welcome.
Easter Lilies. If you would like to have a lily on the Sanctuary here at Our Lady’s for Easter for your deceased loved ones and friends, please place £3 in an envelope
together with a list of their names and give it to Irena by Sunday 29th March. Please mark your envelope “Easter Lilies”.
“My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Please be sensitive to
those who want to pray in silence before Mass. Before Mass, “Talk to God”, during Mass, “Listen to God” and after Mass, “Talk to each other.”
KSC Quiz. This will take place in St. Gregory’s Church
