Following the Pastoral Area Council Meeting with Bishop Peter on Wednesday (10th June) evening, it was confirmed that Fr. Henry will be priest in charge for our parish
and Sacred Heart until September when a new priest will replace him.
Mission at The Sacred Heart Parish. Please see the poster at the back of Sacred Heart Church or the leaflet at the back of
either of our churches for the timetable of events.
Divine Mercy Retreat at St. Edmund Campion Church, Wellingborough on Sunday 28th June from 2.30pm – 6.30pm. please see the poster at the back
of the church for more details. The celebrant is Fr. Andrzej Gowkielewicz MIC. All are welcome.
Parish Tea. We will be having a Parish Tea Party in the grounds of the Presbytery on Saturday 18th
July from 3pm – this event will replace the Fun Day this year. The tea will be funded by the Parish and organised jointly by the Parish Team and the SVP. Lists will appear at the back of each church next
week so that we can get an idea of the numbers to cater for.
St. Gregory’s Catholic Nursery. Quality care and early education for children aged three and four. Funded places (15 hours) available

The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School. The interim Education Board of Governors for The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Martin Lowe as Substantive Headteacher from September 2015. The IEB is looking forward to him working closely with the Parish, receiving a truly Christian welcome
and embracing his vision for developing the Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School.
Annual NORES Lecture will take place on Friday 3rd July at 7.30pm at the RE Centre, Holy Ghost Parish, 33 Westbourne
Road, Luton LU4 8JD. Please see the poster at the back of the church for more details.
Summer Concert in aid of the Karuri School Project: the Hunsbury Harmonettes will be performing another
of their superb concerts in aid of the school project on Friday 10th July at 7.30pm at the Sacred Heart Church, Weston Favell. Tickets are £5 each and are available on the door or can be reserved
by phoning John Sleet on 07982 511029.
“An Enduring Legacy” by Margaret Osborne. We have been given over 100 copies of this book which describes “The Apostolic Ministry of the Cary-Elwes” of
Great Billing 1865-1965 and these are available at £5 each with all proceeds going to the Church. This is an extremely interesting book and is dedicated to Fr. Damien who wanted this story written. If
you take a book, please pay Irena at Our Lady’s.
New Monstrance. Thank you to all those who have already contributed towards this. If you have pledged money for the new Monstrance, but have not
yet paid, it is not too late to pass on your money to Irena.
