Last week’s collections:
Our Lady:
£493.94. St Anselm: £217.50.: 2nd collection for Peter’s Pence: £188.88. Many thanks. There is a 2nd collection next Sunday (12th July) for work of the Apostleship of the Sea.
Sea Sunday. Next
week is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. There will be a second collection for Apostleship of the Sea, the official maritime welfare agency of the Catholic Church
in Great Britain. It provides practical and spiritual support to seafarers visiting our ports. Sometimes we forget just how dangerous and lonely it can be for seafarers and we take for granted the work
that they do. Please do try to support them both financially through our second collection and also with your prayers.
Parish Tea. This will be held in the grounds of the Presbytery on Saturday
18th July from 3pm. Please put your name on the list at the back of each church next week so that we can get an idea of the numbers to cater for.
Ring pulls. Thank you all for your continued
generosity in collecting and bringing in ring pulls. There is a certificate of appreciation at the back of Our Lady’s which we have been given by the Philippine Community Fund who is the charity that we
are supporting through this action. There is also a photo of Dr and Mrs Baillon with some of the ring pulls that you have been collected. God bless you for your continued generosity.
Summer Concert
